Boiler Repair/Equipment Installation Sales & Estimating
Long Island City, NY

The Metro Group, Inc. is seeking qualified boiler repair/equipment installation sales and estimating candidates to thrive in a busy, growing water treatment and boiler services company. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the estimating and full sales cycle of B2B repair and equipment installation work on boiler systems throughout the NYC/tri-state marketplace. The role is based in Long Island City, NY.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Evaluating mechanical systems for installation and repair
  • Accurately and comprehensively understanding customer requirements and translating those requirements into actionable steps
  • Providing pricing and quote work-ups in conjunction with sales team and mechanical team management
  • Seeing the sales cycle through to contract signing
  • Educating customers and internal project management teams on work required

Qualifications include:

  • Clean driver’s license (a DMV report will be run as part of the application process. Any offer is contingent upon a clean report)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC, mechanical and/or plumbing systems to be confirmed via a field interview
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a business-to-business sales role. Experience selling in HVAC/mechanical industry or to property managers/contractors a plus
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including climbing ladders/stairs to view system components, maneuvering in mechanical rooms, and similar

HVAC Mechanic

The Metro Group, Inc., located in Long Island City, is currently looking for a HVAC Mechanic or Service Technician for their Mechanical Division. The position is a full-time, permanent position with union entrance and company benefits. Job specifics will involve assisting or leading a crew in repairs, modifications, or installations of various components of HVAC systems; specifically cooling towers and the installation of chemical feed and control equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Additional responsibilities include:

  • Driving a company vehicle
  • Lifting tools, materials and equipment
  • Performing other miscellaneous tasks to support the operation, when needed. For example, assisting on other job types, doing material pick-up and deliveries, etc.

Job Summary

The Metro Group, Inc. is currently seeking Account Manager candidates. The selected individual will manage business relationships with customers to ensure accurate and timely responsiveness to customer concerns, increased product penetration, and retention of the customer base. Responsibilities include account management, new business development, and growth.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Account Manager will focus on new, business to business account development. Responsibilities include prospecting, cold calling, setting appointments with prospects, presenting programs, renewing current contracts, and delivering a sales quota. Account Managers are also responsible for customer satisfaction by responding to customer requests, pro-active problem solving and meeting productivity goals.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

The Metro Group, Inc. is currently looking for a Junior Account Manager. The selected individual will work closely with our current Account Management team in managing business relationships with customers to ensure accurate and timely responsiveness to customer concerns, increased product penetration, and retention of the customer. Responsibilities include account management, new business development, and growth.

The Junior Account Manager will focus on selling newly offered products and services to our entire customer base. Responsibilities include heavy outbound call volume, delivering a sales quota, pro-active problem solving, scheduling and organizing sold work, and meeting productivity goals.

The Metro Group, Inc., located in Long Island City, is currently looking for a Service Technician for the Mechanical Division. This division is preparing for an increased volume of boiler work that must be completed this Summer and Fall. The position is seasonal, however, has the potential to transition into a full-time, permanent position if the selected individual continually meets management expectations. Job specifics will involve assisting a lead mechanic in cleaning both the fireside and waterside of a boiler.
